The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 376, 341, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is stated to have committed rape on the informant.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 28.5.2020 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no.3692 of 2020 observing that the Court was not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present. The petitioner has remained in custody since 9.9.2019 and there is no progress in the learned trial court. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, there

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the allegations levelled against the petitioner in the F.I.R. which has been supported by the informant in her statement under section 164 Cr.P.C., the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.
