JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-08-2022 In the light of this Court's order dated 27.07.2022, the Collector, Lakhisarai, is personally present in the Court. A show cause reply has been filed on his behalf. There does not appear to be any dispute over the fact that order of this Court dated 24.02.2020 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 17156 of 2019, whereby the petitioner was directed to be reinstated, consequent upon quashing of the order passed by the disciplinary authority, has been complied with, with the issuance of an order dated 01.08.2022 passed by the Collector. As regards payment to the petitioner of back wages,

Patna High Court MJC No.1054 of 2021(4) dt.10-08-2022 2/2 as directed by this Court by the aforesaid order dated 24.02.2020, the Collector has stated before this Court that some of admissible amount has been paid in the petitioner's account and rest of the same shall be paid to him within three months. In the Court's opinion, in view of the subsequent conduct of the contemner, the disobedience of this Court's order cannot be said to be willful or deliberate.

The contempt proceeding is accordingly dropped in the light of the undertaking given by the Collector, as noted above.
