The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 8, 15(c), 25, 29 of the NDPS Act.

In pursuance to the order dated 20.04.2022, status report of trial in connection with Barun P.S. Case No. 112 of 2020 has been received and kept at Flag-A, in which it is reported that out of four charge-sheeted witnesses, only one witness has been examined so far. Rest three charge-sheeted witnesses are yet to be examined. Summons have already been issued against the rest three charge-sheeted witnesses and next date is fixed for evidence on 05.05.2022.

Considering the present stage of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his payer for bail is rejected in connection with Barun P.S. Case No. 112

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19725 of 2022(3) dt.18-05-2022 2/2 of 2020 pending before the court of the learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (NDPS), Aurangabad.
