2 This writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:

"For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to either extend the third year settlement period for Patna Sone Sand Plot Cluster No 12 (Patna Sone Sand Ghat 15) by the period of disruption of the e-challan system (04.02.2026 to 21.02.2026), or direct refund of the pro rata amount corresponding to the said period, after verifying payment particulars.

(ii) For issuance of such other order or direction as the petitioner may be found entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the instant case."

Patna High Court CWJC No.4547 of 2026(2) dt.14-05-2026 2/2 3 The limited contention of the petitioner is to direct the respondents especially the Mines Commissioner, Bihar, Patna to dispose of Reference No 75 dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P/5 to the petition) submitted before the office and duly received/stamped on 23.02.2026 itself.

4 Learned counsel representing the Mines Department submits that it shall be taken to its logical end at the earliest. 5 In that background, this writ petition is disposed of allowing the Mines Commissioner to take up the aforesaid representation and dispose it of, if still not disposed of in next three months.
