1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i)For issuance of writ the Mandamus or any other writ or direction to respondent to declare the petitioner successful for the post of Home guard with regard to Amas Prakhand Dist. Gaya against advertisement no. 02/2011 and selection list prepared including the name of petitioner since he stood 2nd in the provisional merit list in the physical test out of 35 candidates.
(ii) For issuance of writ of Mandamus or any other writ or direction to respondent to appoint the petitioner in the post of Home guard forthwith since he has got 2nd highest mark in the physical test which was the sole criteria for
Patna High Court CWJC No.5635 of 2024(2) dt.18-04-2024 2/2 selection.
(iii) For issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ or direction to bring the entire selection papers and video graphs for the selection process of Amas Prakhand in the District of Gaya since three member committee has been authorized to verify the marks obtained by the candidates in the physical test and under their signature provisional merit list was prepared and uploaded on the website.
(iv) For issuance in the nature of any other appropriate writ for setting aside the reduction of marks of petitioner from 14 to 9 by the respondent in utter violation of principle of natural justice."
2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
3. The present writ petition stands disposed off as not pressed.
