The petitioner , who is in custody since 1.8.2017 in a case in which he was made F.I.R. named accused long back in the year 1982, has prayed for grant of bail in connection with Mahua P.S. Case No. 154 of 1982 registered for the offence under Section 406, 408, 420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that earlier prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner was rejected. He further submits that the alleged misappropriation amount is very meager and petitioner even before the court below had submitted for depositing the said amount. Considering the fact that petitioner was made accused in a case of misappropriation of public fund, that too, long back in the year 1982 and recently he has been taken into custody in the year 2017, at the moment, I am not inclined to grant bail. The prayer for bail stands rejected.
