The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the instant application is being filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus commanding/directing the respondent authorities to select the petitioner on the post of Constable in Railway Protection.

The learned counsel for the respondents submits that the employment notice in question is of the year 2011 and the selection process has already stood over long back, hence the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
