Petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s):- "That this writ application is being for payment of life insurance amount Rs. Four Lakh of father of petitioner who has died."

It is submitted by learned counsel for LIC that he has received instructions from the office of the LIC that a letter dated 7.7.2022 has been written to the petitioner stating therein that petitioner has never filed any death claim with respect to policy No.519354237 of insured Kedar Nath Singh and if any

Patna High Court CWJC No.5483 of 2022 dt.13-07-2022 2/2 such death claim is made by the petitioner, L.I.C. shall take necessary steps for settlement of such claim. Along with said letter, necessary formats were also enclosed which were required to be filled up by the petitioner and return to the L.I.C. office so that a decision could be taken on the death claim made by petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach the L.I.C. authorities for settlement of death claim of his father and if any such death claim is made by petitioner, same would be disposed of within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of such claim.

Interlocutory application, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
