Heard Mr. Rajendra Prasad Sah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr. Madan Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State through video conferencing.

Petitioner is in jail custody since 16.9.2017 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 270/2018 (arising out of Katihar Town P.S. Case No. 681 of 2017) registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302 of the Indian Penal Code and, earlier, his prayer for bail was rejected by a coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 8.10.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 55728/2018.

Again, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail taking note of specific allegation levelled against him and,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20106 of 2020(3) dt.08-09-2020 2/2 accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and try to conclude the same, as early as possible, preferably within nine months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, failing which the petitioner shall be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
