JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 19-04-2025 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant.
2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 80, 238 and 3(5) of the B.N.S..
3. The prosecution case, in brief, is that marriage of daughter of informant, namely Sandhya Devi, was solemnized with co-accused Ajay Yadav on 14.05.2022 as per Hindu rites and rituals. It is alleged that after marriage, all the accused
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19888 of 2025(2) dt.19-04-2025 2/3 persons named in the F.I.R., including these petitioners, subjected daughter of informant to cruelty and harassment due to non-fulfillment of additional demand of dowry and later, they killed the victim.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners that petitioners are quite innocent and have committed no offence. Petitioner No. 1 is mother-in-law, Petitioner Nos. 2 and 3 are sisters-in-law (Gotni) and Petitioner No. 4 is married sister-in-law (Nanad) of the deceased. Petitioners are victim of over implication. Petitioners are separate in mess and property and have got no concern with the affairs of the deceased and her husband. Thrust of accusation is against husband of deceased, who is already in judicial custody. Petitioners are women and claim clean antecedents.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant have vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
6. Considering the general and omnibus nature of accusation and clean antecedents of the petitioners, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners is allowed.
7. Accordingly, in the event of arrest/surrender within a period of eight weeks from today, let the above named

No.19888 of 2025(2) dt.19-04-2025 3/3 petitioners be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Bhojpur at Ara in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No. 222 of 2024, subject to condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S..
