1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of appropriate writ(s)/direction(s)/order(s) to command the respondents to pay the arrear salary and other consequential benefits for which the petitioner is entitled. The petitioner was a class-IVth employee as driver of Patna Municipal Corporation and posted under the controlled of Bankipur Circle since 16.09.1975 and retired from his service on 31.01.2015 and his salary is dues for his service period of Rs. 11,97,097/- and other consequential benefits and the petitioner further prays that his dues amount would be paid to him as simple Bank

Patna High Court CWJC No.5687 of 2024(2) dt.18-04-2024 2/2 interest from the date of his retirement. Hence, this writ application."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent no.2 i.e. the Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation, Patna, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate petition is filed, by the petitioner, before the Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation, Patna, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law and a reasoned and a speaking order shall be passed, thereon, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

4. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
