Patna High Court CWJC No.11857 of 2015(2) dt.25-08-2023 2/3 ORAL ORDER 25-08-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That by this application, the petitioners are invoking the writ jurisdiction of this Hon'ble Court in the nature of writ of mandamus for directing the respondent-Urban Development and Housing Department, Patna to ensure compliance of its direction to the concerned agencies for issuing appointment letter to the petitioners, who were already working under contract since 2012 and further they were selected for extension of service under contract on the basis of their performance by the respondent-Urban Development Department, Bihar and hence, the respondent-Urban Development and Housing Department issued letter No. 3314 dated 25-11-2014 (Annexure-2) to the concerned agencies to ensure their joining till 01-12-2014 but the concerned agency have not issued appointment letter resulting the petitioner have been discontinued from the engagement against the post who were working since 2012 without their fault."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law.

Patna High Court CWJC No.11857 of 2015(2) dt.25-08-2023 3/3 Liberty, so sought, is granted.
