2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Kotwa P.S. Case No. 194 of 2024 dated 12.07.2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 103 and 80 of the B.N.S.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and the co-accused persons are alleged to have hanged the informant's daughter to death due to non-fulfillment of demand of Rs. 5 lakh as dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner who is the husband of the deceased. It is further submitted that

The petitioner neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant's daughter. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged offence. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 13.11.2024.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner by submitting that as per post-mortem report of the deceased, it is mentioned that the external injuries were found on the dead body of the deceased and the cause of death is Asphyxia due to hanging.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the specific and heinous nature of offence against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is rejected in connection with Kotwa P.S. Case No. 194 of 2024, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari.

7. The application stands rejected.
