Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for offence punishable under sections 302/120B of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

As per the prosecution case, petitioner no. 1 along with co-accused Sonu Thakur inflicted knife blow causing several injuries in the abdomen of son of the informant who died during treatment. Petitioner no.2 caught hold of the victim to facilitate the offence.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20026 of 2022(2) dt.28-09-2022 2/2 case due to jealousy. Petitioners claim clean antecedent. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the informant oppose the prayer for bail.

In view of the nature and gravity of allegation, prayer for bail of the petitioners is refused with direction to surrender and seek regular bail which would be considered and disposed of on its own merit without prejudice.
