Patna High Court CWJC No.9599 of 2021 dt.20-07-2021 2/3 (i) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction for quashing the resolution of Mantri Parishad dated 08.09.2020 by which of 25 acre 14 decimal of Veerkunwar Singh University has most illegally been acquired for the establishment of a "Medical College" as contained in Memo No. 3095 dated 26.12.2020 issued by the Civil Surgeon-cum-CMO, Bhojpur at Ara.
(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction commanding the respondents authorities to release/return back 90 decimals of the land of Veerkunwar Singh University, Ara acquired by the East Central way and 4.96 acre land of University for the establishment of Central School, Ara.
(iii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction restraining the respondent authority in the peaceful possession and occupation of the Veer Kunwar Singh University in respect of the land in question. (iv) For issuance of any other appropriate writ, order or direction which your Lordships may deem fit and proper in the fact and circumstances of the case."
We do not find any merit in the instant petition for the land sought to be acquired is only for the purposes of establishing a Medical College. Also, from the pleadings as also the materials placed on record along with the writ petition, it cannot be made out that the University, i.e. Veer Kunwar Singh University will lose its recognition. The petitioner claims to be a social and a political worker. Save and except making bald assertions, he has not placed any material showing his
Patna High Court CWJC No.9599 of 2021 dt.20-07-2021 3/3 involvement in social work and in public interest. In any event, the petition lacks in particulars and, as such, we dismiss the petition.
