The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for grant of second Time Bound Promotion on completion of 25 years of service.

The petitioner was appointed as Assistant Teacher on 20.03.1975. The scheme of Time Bound Promotion ceased to

Patna High Court CWJC No.11106 of 2015(2) dt.24-07-2019 2/2 have effect with effect from 20.03.1995 and as such second Time Bound Promotion is not admissible. However, the benefit of ACP/MACP is available if the petitioner is otherwise eligible. Considering the scheme of ACP/MACP, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Programme Officer to consider the case of the petitioner in the light of the scheme of ACP/MACT and grant benefit thereof if the petitioner is otherwise entitled for such benefit. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondents at the earliest preferably within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
