Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 341/323 /324 /307 /379 /504 /34 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Sonbarsa P.S. Case No. 251 of 2019.

Allegation against the petitioner is that along with his criminal associates he looted away the informant on the point of pistol and, then, committed assault with iron rod causing injury at the head of the informant. The petitioner has got a long list of criminal cases disclosed in para-3 of the bail petition. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17097 of 2020(5) dt.05-10-2020 2/2 petitioner is in custody since 27.11.2019.

Considering the nature of allegation and criminal antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
