The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 467, 468, 471, 406, 419, 420 and 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution case relates to extortion of money by making fraud to the people in the name of allocation of gas agency, petrol pump, lottery etc.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. He further submits that the name of the petitioner came into light on the basis of confessional statement of apprehended co-accused, namely, Ram Kumar and Sonu Kumar and petitioner has not been apprehended on spot. He further submits that similarly

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21058 of 2022(2) dt.21-09-2022 2/2 situated co-accused has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court passed in Cr. Misc. No. 7982 of 2021. Petitioner has clean antecedent.

Learned APP appearing for the State opposed the anticipatory bail.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Nalanda at Biharsharif in connection with Bihar P.S. Case No. 64 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
