In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Delha P.S. Case No. 5 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 447, 504, 506, 379, 114, 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation has been made that all the accused persons including the petitioners have entered into the clinic of the informant and, at the point of pistol, they demanded extortion money of Rs.4,00,000/- from the informant and snatched away a sum of Rs.40,000/- from his pocket and all the accused persons including the petitioners also assaulted one person, namely, Rajeev Kumar. They also threatened to kill the informant.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21293 of 2019(2) dt.05-04-2019 2/2 Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within four weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order without being influenced by the order of this Court.
