The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Madhubani Town P.S. Case No.152 of 2016 registered under Sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madhubani.

The accusation is of withdrawing Rs.16,61,700/- through different cheques in which Executive Engineer-cum-Secretary, District Water and Sanitation Committee, Madhubani and others including the petitioner were involved.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2041 of 2017 (4) dt.20-03-2017 2/2 submits that, in fact, the petitioner was the Correspondence Clerkcum-Accountant in the office of the District Water and Sanitation Committee, Madhubani, and he has no concern about the withdrawal of Rs.16,61,700/-.

Having considered the facts and the circumstances of the case and the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail stands rejected.
