JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 18-04-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "(a) For a writ in the nature of certiorari or any other writ/order/direction, for quashing Final Selection List of selected candidates in the Scheduled Caste Category for the post of Chaukidar against advertisement no 05/2011 as approved/prepared by the Chaukidar Appointment Committee, Madhepura vide

Patna High Court CWJC No.5588 of 2024(2) dt.18-04-2024 2/3 Decision No 09 of Memo No 629 dated 29.06.2020 and contained in Annexure-P/3 or Memo No 629 dated 29.06.2020.

(b) For a writ in the nature of certiorari or any other writ/order/direction for quashing of Decision No.1 taken by Chaukidar Appointment Committee in its meeting dated 11.07.2020 as contained in Memo No.673 dated 11.07.2020, whereby and whereunder petitioner's objection with regard to reduction in his marks from 67.744 to 62.027 was arbitrarily rejected without a speaking order. (c) For a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ/order/direction commanding the respondents to enquire/investigate the mark-sheets/certificates (specially graduation mark-sheets) attached by the candidates selected in the Scheduled Caste category against the post of chaukidar vide advertisement no 05/2011.

(d) For a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ/order/direction commanding the Respondents to issue appointment letter to the writ petitioner."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on
