2. This application has been filed for quashing the order dated 06.01.2016 by which Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, IXth, Saran at Chapra has taken cognizance against the petitioner in U.T. No. 36 of 2016/U.T. No. 08 of 2018 relates to G.R. No. 6312 of 2014, arising out of Taraiya P.S. Case No. 181 of 2014, registered under Sections 307, 498-A, 494 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per prosecution case, informant namely Reena Devi furnished written report to the S.H.O., Taraiya Police Station alleges that on 17.06.2012, she got married with one Anshu Kumar (petitioner). On the eve of marriage her parents gifted ornaments of gold and silver as well as electronic gazette.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61822 of 2018(2) dt.09-08-2023 2/2 In spite of that, her husband insisted to demand of Rs. 2,50,000/- from her parents. On refusal she was tortured physically. She has further alleged that on 13.12.2014 at evening her husband returned from Calcutta pressed her neck and poured kerosene oil on whole body and tried to burn her. On the basis of aforesaid written report F.I.R was registered as Taraiya P.S. Case No. 181/2014.

4. Both the petitioner and opposite party no. 2 have personally appeared before the Court and submitted that now they are staying together and the dispute between them has been settled.

5. In view of above, this application is allowed.

6. The order dated 06.01.2016 in connection with U.T. No. 36 of 2016/U.T. No. 08 of 2018 relates to G.R. No. 6312 of 2014, arising out of Taraiya P.S. Case No. 181 of 2014, is hereby quashed with respect to the petitioner. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Ranjeet/- U T
