JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 21-06-2023 The petitioner has moved this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the Special Secretary-cum-Appellate Authority, Secondary Education Department, Intermediate Council, Patna to consider and dispose of the Appeal No. 93 of 2021 filed under Section 24 of the Sanskrit Education Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is in the nature of a statutory

Patna High Court CWJC No.5306 of 2023(2) dt.21-06-2023 2/2 appeal which was filed as back as on 06.10.2021 but till date, the case has not been heard even a single day. Learned counsel for the State submits that in such circumstance, appropriate direction may be issued to the Special Secretary-cum-Appellate Authority (Respondent No. 2). In the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, this Court directs the Special Secretary-cum-Appellate Authority (Respondent No. 2) to take up the appeal for hearing within two weeks from today on receipt of a copy of this order and dispose of the appeal within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
