JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 20-08-2016 Heard Sri Ambika Bhagat, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Satyendra Narayan Singh, learned A.P.P. The petitioner, who is in custody in Lakhisarai P.S. Case No. 671 of 2015 registered for the offence under section 147, 148, 149, 399, 402, 307, 353, 332, 333 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25(1-B)A/26/27/35 of the Arms Act has prayed for grant of bail.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is languishing in jail since 15.10.2015 and as such he may be enlarged on bail.

However Sri Satyendra Narayan Singh, learned A.P.P. opposing the prayer submits that on perusal of paragraph no. 3 of the present petition it is evident that petitioner is accused in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.34662 of 2016 (2) dt.20-08-2016 2/2 number of cases relating to serious offences. Besides hearing learned counsel for the parties, I have also perused the materials available on record particularly antecedent of the petitioner.

In view of the nature of accusation and criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail.

The petition stands dismissed.
