The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Jehanabad P.S. Case No. 114 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Section 427/429 of the Indian Penal Code and section 139/140 of the Electricity Act.

Prosecution case in brief is that petitioner caused damaged to the LT line and disrupted the supply of electricity due to cutting the tree inside the LT line, hence caused revenue loss to the government of Rs. 5,66,925/-. It is alleged that due to cutting the palm tree eight transformers of town feeder became affected.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20711 of 2022(2) dt.05-09-2022 2/2 has not committed any offence. He was not present at the place of occurrence as he was working in Jamui in ITBP police. However, he has not filed any chit of paper in support of the accusation.

Considering the nature of accusation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above-named on anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
