2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following relief(s) :- "i. For issuance of an appropriate e writ for quashing the memo no.13243 dated 21.09.12 issued under the signature of Joint Secretary General Administration Deptt. Govt. of Bihar, Patna by which the petitioner has been inflicted the punishment of withholding of 3 increments with cumulative effect.

ii. For issuance of an appropriate writ/ order/ direction for which the petitioner is found entitled for."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per oral instructions received, the sole petitioner has died. He has no further instructions in the matter.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the original punishment of withholding of three increments with cumulative effect was subsequently reduced to punishment of withholding of one increment.

5. In view of the above, the application is disposed of as not pressed.
