During course of vehicle checking, two Scorpio bearing Registration No.BR-09H-8522 as well as BR-09R-8110 were intercepted and on search, from the Scorpio bearing Registration No.BR-09R-8110, altogether 144 litres foreign wine of Indian origin were seized. Furthermore, petitioner being driver of the aforesaid vehicle as well as another occupant, Manish Kumar were apprehended. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as is evident from Para-3 of the petition. Petitioner happens to be under custody since 25.07.2016. S. Case no.81 of 2016, with a direction to the learned lower court to verify the genuineness of the bailors before acceptance of the bail bond in order to secure presence of petitioner during trial.
