The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No.660 of 2025 registered for the offence punishable under section 308(5) of the B.N.S., 2023. 3.

The petitioner is accused of kidnapping the son of the informant and demanding extortion from the informant. The petitioner is in custody since 25.12.2025. 4.

During investigation, it has come that one of the calls for extortion was made from the mobile of the petitioner.

Considering the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner and the materials which have come during

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19865 of 2026(2) dt.31-03-2026 2/2 investigation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the observations made by this Court is only for the purpose of deciding this bail application.
