The case is registered under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act, in connection with Bakhtiyarpur P.S. Case No. 113 of 2022 lodged on 15.03.2022 by the informant, Shabnam Praveen. In the FIR, the informant has made specific allegation against the petitioner that she opened fire causing instant death of her mother.

Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide an order dated 13.09.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 34372 of 2022.
