The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under sections 384, 353, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3(v)(x) of the S.C./S.T. (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The informant alleged that he started constructing building of the school but the petitioner stopped and asked him to pay Rs.50,000/- as ransom. Petitioner is alleged to have abused the informant by naming his caste.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner never demanded any ransom nor stopped construction of the building. A false case has been lodged but from perusal of the case diary it appears that the witnesses have also reiterated the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40684 of 2015 (3) dt.30-11-2015 allegation made by the informant.

Having considered the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Kasba P.S. Case No. 74 of 2015 pending in the court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea. This application is, accordingly, rejected.
