2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief/s:- "I. For issuance of an appropriate order/orders/direction/directions writ in the nature of mandamus directing and

Patna High Court CWJC No.6522 of 2024(2) dt.23-07-2026 2/3 commanding to the Respondents to promote to the petitioner on the post of Advisor/Inspector (Operational) in Bihar Police Radio Organization (Wireless and Technical) with all consequential benefits from the date, the petitioner is entitled for the same for the ends of justice.

II. And further be pleased to grant other relief/reliefs as the petitioner is entitled for."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for fulfillment of his grievance, he has filed a representation dated 11.02.2024 (annexed as Annexure-6) before the Director General of Police, Patna. But, till date, no order has been passed on his representation.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that till date, no decision has been taken on the petitioner's representation. Counsel also submits that the petitioner has earlier moved before this Hon'ble Court in C.W.J.C. No. 13804 of 2014 which was dismissed for want of prosecution vide order dated 23.07.2019.

5. As such, in the light of the submissions made, this Court is not entering into the merit or demerit of the case at

Patna High Court CWJC No.6522 of 2024(2) dt.23-07-2026 3/3 present and only directs the Director General of Police, Sardar Patel Bhawan, Bailey Road, Patna (Respondent no. 2) to take decision on the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2024 (Annexure-6) by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law, within 90 days from the date of production of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, with the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed off.
