Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is said to have assaulted the informant causing injury on his head but submission on behalf of the petitioner is that the informant appears to have sustained simple injury, which is evident from perusal of Annexure-3 to the supplementary affidavit.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as
