JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-06-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the present writ application is being filed under the most compelling circumstances praying for issuance of an appropriate writ(s)/order(s)/directions commanding the respondent authorities to grant the license of N.P. Bore rifle to the petitioner in the terms of provisions of arms Act."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Nawada, to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed for grant of arms

Patna High Court CWJC No.5359 of 2024(2) dt.20-06-2024 2/2 license, on 20.6.2023 /18.8.2023.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Respondents submits that in case, the petitioner has filed any petition for grant of arms license, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Nawada, to consider the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order. 5.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
