Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Benipatti P.S. Case No. 178of 2016 registered under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is an authorized PDS dealer having valid license No. 28/07. Petitioner had filed his explanation to the letter of the authorities which was received on 05.12.2016 at 3.45 P.M., but the authorities proceeded in the matter without considering his reply. Case No. 178 of 2016 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
