2. Heard Mr. Ashish, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. The petitioner has moved the Court seeking appointment on the post of a constable, basing his claim on advertisement no. 1 of 1998, alleging that persons having lower height has been appointed.

4. The brief facts of the case is that pursuant to the said advertisement process of appointment was completed in the year

Patna High Court CWJC No.19096 of 2014 dt.02-12-2022 2/2 2000. As per learned counsel for the petitioner similarly situated persons had moved the Court in the year 2006 and order was passed.

5. Be that as it may, since the exercise was concluded in the year 2000 and even if some persons had moved in the year 2006, the petitioner waiting for another eight years to file the present writ petition, the Court finds that there is gross delay and laches on the part of the petitioner and thus on this ground alone, the writ petition stands dismissed.
