JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 02-08-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.(I)For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities for payment of arrears of salary since July, 2011 as also the current salary of the petitioner for which he is being denied by the Respondents since long even though they are taking work from the petitioner for the post against which he was appointed in the Nagar Parishad.
(II)For a declaration that if the petitioner is working on his post, there is no law on the land that he can be denied payment for salary when the other employees of Madhepura Nagar Parishad
Patna High Court CWJC No.18693 of 2014(2) dt.02-08-2023 2/2 are receiving their salary uninterruptedly."
At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances.
