JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 27-06-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1(i). For issuance of a direction to the respondent authority for payment of compensation amount of Rs. 50 lakh (approximate) against the respondent officer who abused their power in discriminatory way to the detriment of the rights of citizen.

(ii). For issuance of a direction to the respondent authority that the amount of compensation may be paid to the petitioner within stipulated period

For issuance of a direction to initiate disciplinary action against the responsible authorities as the court may deem fit and proper." 2.

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law including that of filing a suit before the learned Civil Court having competent jurisdiction. Liberty, so sought, is granted. 3.
