Petitioner is in custody in connection with Bounsi P.S. Case No. 30 of 2019 for the offence under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not named in the FIR. His name has surfaced on the confessional statement of co-accused Chandan Kumar @ Chandan Yadav. Learned counsel further submits that coaccused Chandan Yadav has been granted bail by a coordinate bench of this Court in Cr. Misc. No. 14732 of 2020 on 03.03.2020.

The petitioner is in custody on remand since 13.6.2019.

No.18930 of 2020(2) dt.09-06-2020 2/2 Considering the fact that the petitioner has remained in custody for nearly one year and the person who has disclosed the name of this petitioner has already granted bail, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, let the petitioner, named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banka, in connection with Bounsi P.S. Case No. 30 of 2019 subject to the condition that on release the petitioner shall render his service as volunteer in dedicated Covid-19 hospital for a period of two months. He is required to report to the district Nodal Officer who shall utilize the service of the petitioner appropriately.
