Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned APP for the State through video conferencing. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 06.09.2019, passed in Cr. Appeal (SJ) No. 2425 of 2019, by which the appellant (petitioner herein) was granted anticipatory bail. It is submitted that due to arrest of the petitioner in another case, he could not surrender in the court below and furnish the bail bond within the stipulated time.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20635 of 2022(2) dt.01-07-2022 2/2 For the reasons disclosed in the application, it is allowed and the time granted by order dated 06.09.2019, passed in Cr. Appeal (SJ) No. 2425 of 2019 for surrender of the petitioner and furnishing bail bond is extended by four weeks, subject to deposit of Rs. 10,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority. At the time of surrender, the petitioner shall furnish the receipt showing deposit of Rs. 10,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority.
Office shall ensure that all the defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time provided in para 1 hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
