2. The present contempt petition has been filed for non-compliance of the order dated 30.08.2018 passed in

Patna High Court MJC No.1125 of 2019(11) dt.10-07-2026 2/3 C.W.J.C. No. 6368 of 2012, whereby while allowing and disposing of the writ petition, a direction was issued to the Opposite Party-University that considering the case of the petitioners vis-a-vis the case of the employees regularised vide letter contained in Memo dated 19.05.2003, the respondents to adopt similar yardsticks for the purpose of counting past services of the petitioners like the Class III and IV employees of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Smarak College, Muzaffarpur. The respondent were also also directed to take corrective measures by extending similar treatment to these petitioners, within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of the order.

The learned counsel for the University, while referring to the show cause filed on behalf of the opposite party nos. 5 & 6 submits that vide Memo No. B/624 dated 25.03.2019, issued under the signature of the Registrar, the Vice Chancellor directed for counting the services of the petitioners herein from 01.01.1980 notionally, for the purposes of computation of the retiral benefits. He submits that accordingly calculations have been made and by the supplementary show cause filed on behalf of the University on 12.05.2026, the entire calculation with regard to the payment of arrears has also been

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that although, time was granted to the petitioners for filing rejoinder to the calculation chart provided by the University, however the same could not be filed and the matter be disposed of.

5. Considering that the order dated 30.08.2018 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 6368 of 2012 has been complied by the University inasmuch as that the Registrar of the University vide order dated 23.03.2019, on the directions of the Vice Chancellor, issued notification for calculating the past services of the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.1980 notionally, for the purposes of calculation of retiral benefits and in terms thereof, the arrears of salary have also been paid to the petitioners, this Court finds that the order has been complied with by the University.

6. Accordingly, no contempt is made out and the contempt petition stands dismissed.
