The petitioner seeks bail in Laheriasarai P.S. Case No.82 of 2020, corresponding to G.O. Case No.159 of 2020 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The informant alleged that on secret information, Mandal Lodge was raided and 97.92 litres of liquor was recovered. The petitioner(Rajib Kumar) and Ram Krishna Saw were apprehended. Petitioner is said to have disclosed that Pawan Kumar had kept Indian made foreign liquor in the dilapidated house of Mandal Lodge. Petitioner has no manner of concern with the recovered liquor.

Learned A.P.P. however opposed the prayer for bail.

Petitioner is in jail since 07.02.2020. Petitioner has already remained in jail for about four months.

Considering the facts aforesaid, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge(Excise), Darbhanga in connection with Laheriasarai P.S. Case No.82 of 2020/G.O. Case No.159 of 2020.
