This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Buxar (M) P.S.Case no.177 of 2018 dated 17.6.2018 for the offences under Sections 25(1-b) a, 26 of the Arms Act..
Allegation against the petitioner is that is of recovery of one country-made pistol and six cartridges and apart from that he is accused in 18 other cases.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that in most of the cases he has been acquitted and he is in custody since 18.6.2018. He is ready to abide by any condition imposed upon him.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.63573 of 2018 (2) dt.25-10-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in view of allegation as well as antecedent, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of seven months and if not concluded and there is no laches on the part of the petitioner, the learned trial court shall release the petitioner on bail in connection with Buxar (M) P.S.Case no.177 of 2018 to his own satisfaction.
With the aforesaid observation, this application is disposed of.
