The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chapra Town P.S. Case No. 844 of 2022 registered for the offence under Sections 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 17.12.2022 and there is recovery of 100 liters of country made wine.

Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the period of custody and the recovery of liquor, this application for regular bail is allowed. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23915 of 2023(2) dt.15-05-2023 2/2 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. District and Sessions Judge-2nd-cum-1st Exclusive Special Judge, Excise, Saran at Chapra in connection with Chapra Town P.S. Case No. 844/2022.

The petitioner will visit Chapra Town Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
