This application is filed for grant of regular bail in connection with POCSO Case No. 20 of 2021 registered under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act2012. The petitioner is accused of raping a child of 3 year. One of the ground submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the case was reported after 12 days. In my opinion, this is no ground for grant of bail in these kind of serious case.

The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial preferably within six months by holding the trial on day to day basis.
