JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-08-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, the State and the informant parties.
Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for offence punishable under sections 406/420 of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioners are alleged to have taken Rs.20 lacs from the informant through cheques to secure admission of the his daughter in Katihar Medical College.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have falsely been implicated in this case due to dirty politics. He submits that on 11.12.2019 petitioners had made some payment to the informant.
Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.30417 of 2021(7) dt.10-08-2022 2/2 informant oppose the prayer for bail. They submit that there is specific allegation that the petitioners have received payment of the aforesaid amount through cheques from the informant. In view of the nature of allegation, prayer for bail of the petitioners is refused with direction to surrender and seek regular bail which would be considered and disposed of on its own merit without prejudice.
