The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special (N.D.P.S) Case No. 261 of 2023 arising out of N.C.B. Crime / Case No. NCB/PZU/Cr.No. 08 of 2023 instituted for the offences under Sections 8(c), 21(c), 27(A) and 29 of the NDPS Act.

This is the second attempt of the petitioner for bail.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.22719 of 2025(4) dt.22-08-2025 2/3 The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail which was earlier rejected on merit by this Court vide order dated 22.11.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 70971 of 2024. 4.

In compliance of the order dated 03.07.2025, a report dated 14.07.2025 with regard to the present stage of trial has been received. From perusal of the aforesaid report, it appears that charge has been framed against all three accused persons and out of six named complaint witnesses, two witnesses have been fully examined. It is further reported that the case record is pending for examination of rest four witnesses including two independent witnesses.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 14.10.2023 without any rhymes or reason and has got no criminal antecedent.

Learned counsel for the Union of India opposes the prayer for grant of bail.

There is no new ground to consider the bail petition of the petitioner. From the aforesaid report, it appears that the trial is going on and is at an advance stage. 8.

In view of the above, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is again rejected with a direction to the court
