JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-05-2019 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to provide appointment on compassionate ground to the petitioner herein in lieu of death of his father who died in harness on 25.07.2013.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that appropriate application has been filed within the prescribed time limit by the petitioner for grant of appointment on compassionate ground, however till date, no action has been taken. The petitioner has referred to a communication dated 17.04.2018 made by the Block Education Officer, Khizarsarai,

Patna High Court CWJC No.10299 of 2019(2) dt.08-05-2019 2/2 Gaya to the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Gaya with regard to the said appointment to be made on compassionate grounds.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Gaya to take appropriate steps for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground in accordance with law and in case, appropriate application has been filed by the petitioner within the prescribed time limit, the final decision is required to be taken by the District Magistrate, Gaya within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
