ANSHUMAN ORAL ORDER 10-03-2026 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the State and learned counsel appearing for the Nagar Nigam, Chapra.

2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate grounds on any suitable post under the Chapra Nagar Nigam.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has submitted several representations dated 13.12.2024, 23.12.2024, 21.01.2025 and 04.03.2025 before the respondent authorities, but till date no

Patna High Court CWJC No.5401 of 2025(2) dt.10-03-2026 2/2 decision has been taken on the said representations.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Nagar Nigam, Chapra submits that the case of the petitioner is presently pending before the District Compassionate Committee.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, this Court directs respondent no. 6, namely, the Municipal Commissioner, Nagar Nigam, Chapra, to place the case of the petitioner before the District Compassionate Committee. Respondent no. 5, namely, the District Magistrate, Saran, is directed to consider and take an appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
