This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 414 of the Indian Penal Code and 20 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Seven hundred and fifty bottles of Corex Syrup were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Submission of the petitioner is that ten per cent of 100 ml contains codein, which is permissible to be added in Corex Syrup and is narcotic drugs, thus, total quantity comes to 7.50 ml, which is less than the small quantity of 10 grams. The petitioner is in custody since 03.08.2016 and does not have criminal antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid fact, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Special Case No. 27 of 2016 arising out of Narpatganj P.S. Case No. 234 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Araria, or successor Court.
