Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that despite assurance, job was not offered to the mother of the petitioner by the district administration and as such, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that mother of the petitioner was paid Rs.8,00,000/-( rupees eight lacs only) as ex gratia. There is no provision for grant of compassionate appointment to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8142 of 2019(2) dt.17-04-2019 2/2 dependent who died in road accident and in the absence of statutory scheme for compassionate appointment available to the dependent or progeny of the victim of the road accident no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid discussion the Court is not persuaded to grant any indulgence in the proceeding. However, liberty shall be available to the petitioner to approach the authority for indulgence if law permits.

With the aforesaid, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
